The Managed Browser Service imparts unprecedented levels of security to conventional browsers that would otherwise be vulnerable to a wide range of malicious exploits. Here are some of the ways in which the Managed Browser Service can protect your service integrity and your users.
Strong two factor authentication
The Managed Browser Service provides enrolled users with a second authentication factor in the form of a secure device ID, issued and administered without user intervention from the server side. This is strongly encrypted, highly resistant to unauthorized access, and worthless if improperly obtained. It is impossible to access a Managed Browser Service user’s account unless the Service can retrieve the correct device ID for this user during the session. This feature provides very strong protection against social engineering attacks such as phishing, redirection attacks such as pharming, and credential theft attacks such as those based on keystroke loggers, Trojan viruses and browser plugin spyware.

Secure channel
The Managed Browser Service creates a high-security VPN link between a conventional browser and the website it accesses, making it practically impossible to intercept or intermediate the session. This effectively eliminates the threat of session hijacking and man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks.
Secure transactions
The Managed Browser Service allows high risk transactions to be flagged for processing in a locked-down, secure area, out of reach of all known browser malware. This offers best-of-class, robust protection against business logic abuse attacks and, especially, man-in-the-browser (MITB) attacks.
